For the eighth year in a
row, our Primary Stock Portfolio out-performed the S&P
500. Furthermore, the Primary Stock Portfolio hasn't had a
loss in its eight year
history.
In 2005, the Dow Jones Industrial
Average suffered its first loss (-0.6%) since 2002. The just-concluded
trading year was pretty much flat for most U.S. indexes with
the Dow moving the least. In the past, the Dow has moved less
than 1% only three other times: 1902, 1911, and 1926. Even
Warren Buffett's performance for the year was flat. His Berkshire
Hathaway stock was up only 0.8%.
