Calendar of Recent & Pending Spin-Off
Stocks
Our Primary
Stock Portfolio is created by using a proprietary algorithm
to select the best companies from the universe of spin-off
stocks. Spin-offs are defined as existing subsidiaries or
divisions that are separated from the parent company that
then become independent publicly-traded companies. The strategy
of investing in spin-offs is based on studies which have shown
that spin-off stocks tend to significantly out-perform the
rest of the stock market. For information about why spin-off
stocks beat the rest of the stock market, go here.
The spin-offs in our Primary Stock Portfolio
have gained an averaged of
31.9%
per year since 1998. During the same time period, the stock
market averaged only a return of
4.5%
per year as measured by the S&P 500.
Because we add only a small percentage of
available spin-offs to our Primary Stock Portfolio (the companies
we believe have the best chance to significantly out-perform
the market), there are many other spin-offs available for
investors to analyze. Many of you have requested that we publish
a list of all the spin-offs in addition to the spin-offs listed
in our Primary Stock Portfolio. Therefore, we have created
a listing or calendar of companies that are scheduled to be
spun-off, as well as companies that have recently been spun-off.
Investors can use this as a starting point to investigate
other opportunities on their own and/or purchase spin-offs
before they are added to our Primary Stock Portfolio.
Spin-offs are added to this list when the
parent company has announced plans for the spin-off.
As always, complete your due diligence before
investing, especially in thinly-traded stocks. Penny stocks
are not recommended due to high risk. All spin-off data, especially
proposed spin-off dates, are subject to change by the parent
company. A few are even canceled. Some of these stocks can
only be purchased on the local stock exchange of the company's
home country and are listed for the benefit of subscribers
residing in those countries.
