Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: Do you recommend risky investments
such as options, commodities, penny stocks, and futures?
A: Our main recommendations are based on
using stocks and mutual funds as the foundation for a portfolio.
While it is possible to use options to decrease a portfolio's
risk, they are usually used in such a way as to increase risk.
Occasionally we recommend a few options,
but these are suitable only as a small part of a portfolio
and are best left to experienced, risk-taking investors. We
prefer investing in a safer manner, with diversified portfolios
of stocks and mutual funds.
Our Primary Stock Portfolio's 1,877.5%
return
(32.8%
per year) was attained without the use of options and we believe
options are unsuitable for most investors. You can see the
typical stocks that make up our Primary Stock Portfolio
by visiting our Past
Recommendations section.
